In sports driving, maintaining optimal performance without stressing the car is crucial, and engine cooling is a key factor. The K20C turbocharged engine generates significant heat, causing water temperatures to rise quickly, especially during extended circuit sessions.
While replacing the thermostat or lowering the cooling fan’s operating temperature can help manage water temperature, upgrading the radiator is essential for maintaining optimal engine heat levels. We tested a prototype with a 42mm core thickness at the Thunderhill 25 Hours race, confirming its effectiveness. Further testing in street conditions revealed that the air conditioner condenser obstructs airflow to the radiator, necessitating race-level cooling performance for everyday driving. Thus, we’ve made the same high-performance radiator available for street use.
