We installed a big turbocharger kit on the N-ONE, and while we were setting up, we faced a plateau in output due to a rise in intake air temperature.

Therefore, we started developing parts to lower the intake air temperature and considered increasing the capacity of the intercooler and optimizing the intake layout.

With a displacement of 660cc, the absolute flow rate of intake air is small, and even if the intake air temperature can be lowered by increasing the size of the intercooler, the flow velocity inside the core will decrease and the heat exchange efficiency will decrease. A drop in the intake air temperature improves output, but in actual driving, the significant decrease in flow speed reduces the accelerator response and degrades drivability.

In order to achieve moderate size and flow resistance with good heat exchange efficiency without sacrificing accelerator response, repeated trial and error, such as changing the shape of the side tank and core, resulted in an intercooler with a good balance between output and drivability. I was.

In addition, along with the increase in size of the intercooler, the characteristic air intake layout of the N-ONE has also been changed significantly. N-ONE's air duct has two functions: guiding air to the intercooler and engine intake. However, since the focus is on cooling the intercooler, the air intake is placed in the engine room and always takes in hot air from the engine room.

We changed the intake duct to a forward-facing two-layer structure so that the intercooler can be cooled, and the engine intake can be done from near the front grille. The upper layer is for the engine intake and the lower layer is for cooling the intercooler, realizing an intake layout that further lowers the intake air temperature.

It is effective not only for full-normal vehicles, but also for boost-up specifications and upgraded turbos and supports various tuning stages. With this intercooler kit, your N-ONE can maintain a stable output, making your car even more enjoyable.
