We are testing the new generation K-Sports N-ONE in various scenes such as circuits, streets, and winding roads.
The body rigidity is high, and the N-ONE feels solid on the street, but on circuits and winding roads, the responsiveness to steering operation decreases and the instability during braking can be felt.
As a result of various tests, we found that reinforcing the periphery of the front subframe dramatically improved handling, so we developed a stiff plate like the S660 and FK Civic.
Reinforcement is generally done by adding bars, but reinforcement with bars is linear in one direction. However, the car receives input from multiple directions, and in order to suppress all the bending and twisting, it is necessary to lay out multiple bars in a complicated manner, which increases the weight.
The stiff plate can reinforce multiple mounting points on the surface, so it exerts a reinforcing effect against input from various angles with a small increase in weight, and dramatically improves bending and torsional rigidity.
The stiff plate for N-ONE has a truss shape in places where strength is required to efficiently secure strength, and has succeeded in increasing the lateral load capacity by 2 tons or more than normal.
The material is 2.0mm thick JSC780 super high-tensile material, and the surface treatment is cationic treatment equivalent to genuine.
Install a stiff plate and experience firm and smooth handling that is more than a normal car.

Despite high body rigidity and rather steady feel in the street conditions, we felt the decreased steering response and some instability with braking on winding roads and circuit.
Various tests showed that reinforcing the circumference of the front subframe improves handling, that led us to developing the stiff plate similar to S660 and FK CIVIC ones.
Whilst it is common to add a bar for reinforcement, it generally works in one direction. Any car, however, has inputs from multiple directions, which makes it necessary to add several bars in a specific way, that obviously results in an increased weight.
STIFF PLATE collects and reinforces multiple mounting points on its surface which allows to improve the torsional rigidity and bending with minimum weight increase.
N-ONE STIFF PLATE’s truss shape is applied exactly where the extra strength is required, improving the lateral load capacity by over two tons compared to normal.
